Roll and move

Two dice move you around 36 spaces. Pass City Hall and collect your salary. Roll a double and you go again — but three doubles in a row sends you to Traffic Lock.

Claim districts

Land on an unowned district and you may buy it at the listed price. Land on someone else's and you pay rent. Select any tile at any time to read its full rent card before you commit.

Collect a whole set, then build

This is the whole game. You cannot build anything until you own every district in a colour set. Once you do, rent doubles immediately, and you can start buying houses.

Four houses, then a hotel

Each house raises rent sharply — the jump from two to three houses is the biggest in the game. When a district has four houses you can replace them with a hotel for the top rent.

Trade for what you are missing

Nobody completes a set by luck alone. Open Trade, pick a rival, and put districts, cash and release cards on the table. They accept, decline, or you try again.

Run out of cash and you fold

Short of a payment? Sell buildings and mortgage districts to raise it. If you cannot cover the debt, you are out and your portfolio goes to whoever you owed. Last rival — or last team — standing wins.
